Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has — gasp! — praised Apple’s App Store. But maybe Ballmer just wants to butter up Apple so it approves Bing as the default search engine for the iPhone OS, replacing Google. Alas, not all is sweetness and light as the Electronic Frontier Foundation has charged that the App Store has some strict rules for developers.
